Tonight I Hold this Candle

Tonight I hold this candle,
in memory of you.
Hoping someway somehow,
My love will shine through.
I close my eyes, lost in the glow,
there are so many things I want you to know.

This candle says I love you,
this candle says I miss you.
This candle is saying I remember you.

When I'm holding it toward heaven,
it feels like you are near.
If you're look down tonight ,
and see this candle burning bright,
It says I'm wishing you were here.

In the glow of this candle,
I can almost see your smile.
And it carries me away,
for a little while.
To another time,
another place,
When all it took to light up my world,
was your beautiful face.

This candle says I love you,

This candle is saying I remember you.

Confuse you;
Remember me. Here and in Heaven

I'll be beguiling my filing, still smiling
To see you.
When mountains, magenta and molded
Turn red,
Like you said,
You'll find the feeling you folded
Not dead.
You'll steal the swirling sky, turning

You won't be bounded, but burning

We weep and walk away.
Tears run into swollen streams.
No trace of us remains.
Even those who grieve are gone,
And those that grieve who grieve,
And those whose lives are ravaged by
A frantic urge to be,

And those who wander silently
Among the empty rooms:
Immortality is theirs,
Though they must vanish, too.

We bear astonished witness to
The passage of the soul.
No bridge exists that can connect
Our passion to the whole.

Angels On My Pillow

I have angels on my pillow,
To help me get through the night;
They are always sent by God above,
To say, "All is well and do sleep tight".
And when I dream of all the things,
That have come into my life;
His angels always tell me,
Everything's going to be alright.
I wake up in the morning,
With shining sunlight on morning dew
My angels say they will be back,
Before this day is through.
It's nice to lay my head down,
At the end of a long, long day;
and have angels on my pillow,
To listen while I pray.
Thank you, God, for everything,
You've granted me from heaven;
My gifts from you are so much more,
Than the ones which I have given.
Make no mistake, I appreciate,
I fold my hands to say so;
And God, I love the little angels,
You've sent to rest upon my pillow.
